Activities for October 27th and 30th

Hey science students!  You'll be completing some science research while I am out.  Friday will be a webquest that will help you learn about molecules and solidify (he he he) your understanding about solids, liquids and gases.  Monday you will explore and define the differences between weight and mass.

Friday, October 27th, 2017 A day

Today you will be working on a webquest.  The sub will pass out the packet and you will be able to get started. Read the included directions to figure everything out!

Part One

Part Two

Part Three

Finished Early?  Play around with this:

States of Matter (do both the States of Matter and Phase Change options)

Monday, October 30th, 2017 B day

You are going to be exploring the difference between Mass and Weight today.  Use the sheet from the sub to do your research and come up with your own definitions.  You should research until 1:10.  From 1:10-1:20 you need to come up with your own best definition of each mass and weight. At 1:20 you will meet in your table group to determine group definitions that incorporate everything you've researched, learned and discussed.  If time allows, groups will share their definitions and the sub will help you create a class definition.

Here are the four websites you will need to visit in your research:

Diffen

Wikipedia

Ducksters

Math is Fun

Be sure to scope out all of the site and take notes.

Enjoy!  I can't wait to start working with you on Wednesday!!
