Yesterday we spent time exploring Hurricane Joaquin and now it seems like he's walkin' (he he, get it?) his way out into the ocean and not affecting coastal US.  Keep your eye on the weather (on the news, in the paper, in the sky) over the weekend and be prepared to talk about it on Tuesday!!!

See you Monday for the field trip!!

Layers of the Atmosphere

Today we read from our text book and reviewed the positions and properties of the layers of the atmosphere.

The layers are like the layers of a burger, they are each different, but not perfectly flat and kind of blend together.

The next time that someone asks you, "What's up?" you can really tell them!

Tonight's homework is to observe today's weather and consider how it compares to our climate.

I took photographs of some of my observations:

Cloudy, but plenty of blue sky.

Temperature in my car.

The dog was panting after our walk around the neighborhood.

The tree tops were moving, but not too fast.
